Launches, improvements, corrections, and PvP data changes that directly affect what you can do on Oak.
September 2026
New
GO Battle League Tier Lists are now live
Oak's new Tier Lists page lets you compare the strongest current Pokémon by active league and battle role. Rankings and recommended moves come from current PvPoke data, with Oak showing Inventory ownership and readiness plus direct links to saved Pokémon. Tier lists are a starting point—not a complete team—so moves, roster, Cup rules, and team structure still matter.
What to do: Open Tier Lists from Workshop, choose a league and role, and select any Pokémon for details.
Affects: Tier Lists, Inventory, and site-wide Workshop navigation
Fixed
Missing Pro team styles have been restored
We found an issue that could cause Optimizer to show only some of the four Pro team styles, even when a legal team could be built from the eligible roster. That was an Oak problem, and it has been fixed. Hyper Offense, AAA / Polarized, Shield Pressure / Trap & Farm, and Bulk Control now each return the strongest available roster fit, while still identifying when a result falls below Oak's preferred specialist threshold. We also strengthened the checks that run before deployment so critical features and controls cannot disappear unnoticed.
What to do: Reload Optimizer and generate your teams again.
Affects: Optimizer and Pro team styles
Fixed
PvP recommendations and shared battle rules received a full integrity audit
We found that parts of Oak could combine a current Pokémon catalog with older league snapshots, and the release uploader could drop the temporary mapping required when PvPoke introduced a genuinely new build. A handful of tools also handled hidden inventory, league caps, special forms, Return and Frustration, or a Mega Pokémon's bonus Charged Move differently. Those were Oak problems, not user error. We repaired the release pipeline, rebuilt and published every active format from the same verified PvPoke source, corrected current move and form records, and aligned Optimizer, Customizer, Training, Simulation, and What-If Analysis around the same release-pinned data and eligibility rules.
Future releases now require a complete 20-Pokémon threat matrix, preserve new-build mappings through atomic publication, track removed as well as added moves, and stop instead of silently substituting partial or mismatched evidence. Every published PvPoke identity must also resolve to Oak's canonical catalog before a release can go live. Form-aware sprite checks were expanded for regional, Shadow, Mega, and other battle-distinct forms, and Optimizer evidence now loads through a bounded one-pass lookup that retains the same completeness checks without repeating the full matchup query.
What to do: Reload Oak and regenerate any team, moveset, Simulation, or What-If result created before this update.
Affects: Inventory, Optimizer, Customizer, Training, Simulation, What-If Analysis, and PvP data releases
Fixed
Incomplete inventory Pokémon are no longer silently excluded
Oak was applying recommendation-quality rules as though they were league-eligibility rules. In Master League, an owned Pokémon could be removed when its current CP was below 90% of Oak's level-50 reference CP, even though Master League has no minimum CP requirement. Inventory entries with missing CP, IV, or move details could also be left out entirely. That was our mistake. Optimizer and Customizer now consider every non-excluded inventory Pokémon that matches the selected league, Training provides full moveset guidance even when no moves are saved, and manual or screenshot inventory entry no longer requires CP or moves. Known CP above a league cap is still rejected correctly. If Optimizer cannot build the eligible candidate set needed for recommendations, it now stops and reports the problem instead of quietly returning teams from a partial fallback set. Exact battle and build-projection tools still require the statistics needed for their calculations and now say so directly.
What to do: Reload the tool and try again. Oak works most effectively when exact CP, IV, and move information is saved, but those details are no longer required to store a Pokémon, receive team recommendations, or receive moveset guidance.
Current Pokémon GO Egg pools are now available on Oak
The new Eggs page makes it easy to check what can hatch before choosing an incubator. Select a 1, 2, 5, 7, 10, or 12 km Egg—or review Adventure Sync and Route rewards—to see every possible hatch and its potential CP range. The launch data was reconciled against both Leek Duck and the Pokémon GO Wiki, and Oak now checks those sources weekly so future pool changes can be flagged for review.
What to do: Open Eggs from the Workshop menu and choose the Egg pool you want to review.
Affects: Eggs and site-wide Workshop navigation
New
Optimizer expansion and level-cap accuracy improvements
Pro members can now generate Hyper Offense, AAA / Polarized, Shield Pressure / Trap & Farm, and Bulk Control teams from the exact Pokémon and moves saved in their roster. These specialist recommendations join Overall, ABC, ABB, and ABA without replacing them, and Oak only shows an advanced team when the current roster meets that strategy's standards. Tracked-threat Coverage and Compare Two Team Plans now include every qualifying team style, with the same current 2–2 shield matchup evidence used throughout Oak. The expanded tracked-threat table also has synchronized horizontal scrollbars above and below the results so wide comparisons are easier to navigate. Oak now enforces Pokémon's level-50 maximum throughout Build Candidates, Simulation, What-If Analysis, and the shared battle engine, removing impossible level 50.5 or higher projections.
What to do: Regenerate any team or build candidate created before this update.
Affects: Optimizer, Pro team analysis, Training, Simulation, and What-If Analysis
Improved
Pokémon data, team tools, and community resources updated
Maschiff and Mabosstiff are now available throughout Oak's canonical Pokémon catalog with their current stats, legal moves, PvPoke mappings, league records, and artwork. Optimizer and Customizer team cards now match every current Pokémon to its exact form artwork instead of guessing from its Pokédex number, correcting missing or mismatched Mega, regional, Origin, Crowned, stance, fusion, and other form sprites. Team-card artwork is now larger and easier to recognize, while Shadow and Purified builds remain matched to the correct battle data and visually distinct. Team matching now indexes the selected league once, preventing large saved inventories from locking the Optimizer while recommendations are generated. Tracked-threat scoring, shared weaknesses, and side-by-side team comparisons now use the standard 2–2 shield scenario throughout Oak. Each recommended team also includes a Copy Search String button that copies a Pokémon GO inventory search for those three saved species, their current CP, and any applicable Shadow status. Resources now includes Pick 3 and BattleFlow under Additional Team Generators, plus a randomized directory of 20 Pokémon GO PvP creators on X.
What to do: Reload any Optimizer, Customizer, or Resources tab that was already open before this update.
Affects: Inventory, Optimizer, Customizer, Simulation, Training, What-If Analysis, and Resources
Improved
Keep saved Pokémon out of team recommendations when needed
Inventory now includes an Exclude checkbox for each saved Pokémon. An excluded build stays safely stored in your Inventory but will not be used as an anchor or teammate by Optimizer or Customizer. The Inventory row controls were also corrected so the Delete button displays properly on desktop and mobile.
What to do: Check Exclude beside any Pokémon you want to keep saved without including it in team recommendations.
Affects: Inventory, Optimizer, and Customizer
PvP Data
League records refreshed and Willpower Cup prepared
Oak's records have been updated for Great League, Ultra League, Master League, Mega Great League, Mega Ultra League, and Mega Master League. The Willpower Cup data has also been loaded in preparation for next week's schedule.
Affects: Optimizer, Customizer, Simulation, Training, and What-If Analysis
Fixed
Completed IV rankings now refresh automatically
Inventory could briefly continue showing an intermediate IV rank after Oak's background calculation had already stored the correct result. Inventory now checks for the completed calculation and refreshes the displayed Great, Ultra, and Master League ranks automatically.
What to do: No action is needed. Reload Inventory once if it was already open before this correction.
Affects: Inventory
Fixed
ABC, ABB, and ABA team classifications now use real type relationships
Oak was mistakenly treating single-type Pokémon as though they shared a second type. That could make unrelated Pokémon appear to form an ABB or ABA core and promote the wrong team. Oak now ignores the empty secondary-type value and only awards structure fit for genuine typing and matchup relationships. Future PvP data bundles receive the same correction during import.
What to do: Regenerate any ABC, ABB, or ABA recommendation you viewed before September 11.
Affects: Optimizer and Customizer team recommendations
Fixed
Simulation now completes current-season team checks
Simulation could stop before showing a Team Plan when a build had one Charged Move, two attacks shared the same displayed name, or a current-season Mega was missing from Oak's battle engine. Oak now uses the Twilight Trails battle data, keeps ordinary and + moves distinct, and applies each Mega's granted bonus move to both teams. Inventory records missing the exact CP, IV, or legal move data needed for a battle are skipped before selection instead of breaking the entire analysis.
What to do: Run the team again if Simulation previously said it could not finish.
Affects: Simulation
Improved
Screenshot importing now works as a phone-friendly batch
You can pair screenshots for several Pokémon, let Oak read them on your device, and review one compact record at a time. Corrections stay put as you move through the batch, and a failed read can be retried by itself. Possible duplicates now require a clear Add, Update, or Skip choice; updates preserve saved details that the new screenshot did not capture. Up to 12 reviewed Pokémon save together, so one failure cannot leave a half-finished import.
Affects: Inventory and Screenshot Import
New
Site updates now have a home
Oak now keeps a public record of the launches, improvements, corrections, and PvP data changes that affect how you use the site. Use the month and year controls above to find an earlier update.
Affects: Everyone using Oak Coliseum
PvP Data
Twilight Trails league data is live
Oak's active league menus now use the Twilight Trails rankings and matchup releases selected for the current season. League selectors show the active formats without adding season labels to every choice.
Affects: Optimizer, Customizer, Simulation, Training, and What-If Analysis
Improved
Your Pokémon builds now follow one shared rulebook
Oak now carries the same form, status, CP, level, IVs, moves, league, and season information between its major tools. Missing IVs stay unknown, special moves remain distinct, and league eligibility is evaluated consistently.
Affects: Inventory, Optimizer, Customizer, Simulation, and What-If Analysis
Fixed
Mega League recommendations now obey both team limits
We corrected two recommendation errors: Oak could include a Mega or Primal above the selected league's CP limit, and it could place more than one Mega or Primal on the same team. Oak now enforces both rules across every Mega League format. Your saved Inventory was not changed.
What to do: Regenerate any Mega League team created before September 7.
Affects: Optimizer, Customizer, and Simulation
New
Add Pokémon from appraisal screenshots
Inventory can now read one or two Pokémon GO appraisal screenshots on your device. You review the detected Pokémon, CP, IVs, form, status, and moves before anything is saved. The screenshot itself is not uploaded to Oak.
Affects: Inventory and Screenshot Import
Fixed
Mega and Primal build candidates follow the complete evolution path
Training can now recognize when an owned Pokémon can evolve and then Mega Evolve or undergo Primal Reversion for an eligible league. It still rejects Shadow Pokémon, ordinary leagues, and builds that would cross the league's CP limit.
Affects: Training build candidates
August 2026
Improved
Mega, Primal, and event move choices were expanded
Oak filled the complete base move pools for supported Mega Evolutions and Primal Reversions, added newly released Mega forms, and restored missing Community Day moves for Thievul and Oinkologne. Oak now checks its move catalog against current PvPoke battle data each day and sends questionable changes for review instead of removing moves automatically.
Affects: Inventory, Training, and team tools
Improved
Inventory entry choices are easier to scan
Inventory now presents Poke Genie import, Pokebattler import status, and manual entry as three clear choices. Poke Genie and manual entry are available now; Pokebattler remains labeled Coming Soon until that import is supported.
Affects: Inventory
New
What-If Analysis lets you test a build before changing it
Choose a saved Pokémon, try another legal moveset, and compare exact 2–2 shield results against the league's tracked threats. The experiment is read-only and never changes the Pokémon stored in your Inventory.
Affects: Workshop and Inventory
Improved
Inventory now limits forms and moves to compatible choices
The editor now offers catalog-backed forms instead of a free-text field and refreshes the legal move list when the Pokémon, form, or status changes. Existing records with older form labels are resolved without guessing when the evidence is ambiguous.
Affects: Inventory editing
Improved
Large Poke Genie imports are faster and duplicate-safe
Large roster imports now save as one protected operation while league ranks finish separately. Reimporting the same Poke Genie records skips those records without incorrectly merging different Pokémon that happen to share CP, IVs, and moves. Inventory can also be cleared through an intentional confirmation step.
Affects: Inventory CSV import
New
Monthly and annual Pro membership opened
Signed-in users can now choose monthly or annual Pro membership through Stripe-hosted Checkout and manage an active paid subscription from their Oak account.
Affects: Pro and My Account
New
The GO Battle League schedule joined Oak
The public Schedule page shows current and upcoming league rotations, Stardust bonuses, and direct paths into Oak's tools, with links to official and community calendar sources.
Affects: Schedule
Improved
Training now focuses on improvements you can actually make
Training now evaluates eligible Pokémon from your own Inventory, omits builds whose moves already match the recommendation, and explains move changes, second Charged Attack needs, Elite TM requirements, Frustration, and Return without editing your saved Pokémon.
Affects: Training and Inventory
Improved
Team recommendations gained matchup evidence
Optimizer recommendations now use role-aware performance and the tracked meta while maintaining broader species variety across ABC, ABB, and ABA results. Pro analysis shows Win, Close, and Loss outcomes, shared weaknesses, best answers, and type and coverage gaps for the generated teams.
Affects: Optimizer and Pro team analysis
Fixed
Generated teams now enforce Species Clause
Oak no longer recommends two forms or statuses of the same Pokémon on one team. Standard, Shadow, Purified, regional, costume, and other variants now count as the same species when a lineup is built.
